Leyah Fullarton-Turner passed her black belt at the very young age of 9, after starting Karate at just 4 years old. Since then she has become a level 3 instructor through the Martial Arts instructor UK programme, became an examiner, she teaches many classes of karate per week and trains three times per week herself. During the lockdown she has certainly not stopped and has been teaching online Zoom classes for the students, as well as filming instructional videos and challenges for the students each week.
After 3 years of preparation, she has completed her Japanese and anatomy written tests, portfolio work, hundreds of hours of teaching/instructing/training and followed up by an intense physical grading. Leyah has officially been awarded the grade of 3rd Dan (Sandan) by the CMAA and is now officially a Sensei
