Today was a chance for the junior students to attend a freestyle course. They learned the rules, point scoring, useful combinations, attacking areas and a lot more. They all then had several chances to spar on the matted area under a competition style format, with judges and scoring points on the board. Everyone who attended earned themselves a certificate.
Some of the older Dan grades had a chance to attend a judging course. They prepared in advance to provide a presentation to the juniors, followed by a written test and then examined on their physical flag skills during freestyle matches. All passed successfully and awarded with a Judging certificate and tie pin.
