Today Sensei Sarah and Sensei George celebrate 25 years of teaching karate and opening their first karate club.
Back in 1996, mere intermediate black belts, they jointly opened the Baldock Karate club.
The club was originally located in the Town Hall, on the High Street and on the first evening enrolled 6 students.
From there, the club grew from strength to strength and ended up 3 nights per week and 3 classes per night, due to the popularity. Sensei Sarah and Sensei George then went on to open clubs in several other towns and villages.
The instructors have enjoyed every minute of it and are looking forward to the next 25 years.
